Lotora is operated by Société des loteries du Québec (Loto-Québec) as an online gaming platform for eligible players in Québec. 2. Eligibility
You must be 18 years of age or older and a resident of Québec to create and use a Lotora gaming account. You must be physically located in Québec when accessing your gaming account and participating in online gaming activities.
Lotora may use geolocation technology and other verification measures to confirm that you are physically located in Québec. You must enable location services where required.
Your identity and eligibility may be verified before your account is activated for gaming. You agree to provide accurate, complete and current information and any documentation reasonably required for age, identity, residency or eligibility verification.
3. Your account
Certain Lotora services require you to create a gaming account. You are responsible for:
• providing accurate and complete registration information;
• keeping your account information current;
• protecting your password and other authentication information;
• maintaining the confidentiality of your account;
• promptly informing us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
Account registration does not by itself entitle you to participate in online gaming. Your identity and eligibility must be successfully verified before access to gaming services may be granted.
Only one person may use an account. Your account is personal and may not be transferred, assigned, sold or made available to another person.
Where identity, residency or physical location cannot be confirmed, or where verification information is incomplete, inaccurate or cannot be validated, Loto-Québec may restrict, suspend or block access to the account and to gaming services until the required verification has been completed. An account may also be restricted, suspended or closed where reasonably necessary for security, responsible gambling, legal or regulatory purposes.
4. Geolocation
Access to online gaming services requires confirmation that the player is physically located in Québec. Location services must be enabled on the device where required.
Lotora may use geolocation technologies and service providers to determine whether a player satisfies applicable location requirements. Attempts to circumvent, manipulate or interfere with geolocation controls, including through technologies intended to disguise a user's actual location, may result in restriction or suspension of access to gaming services.
5. Games
Each game is governed by its applicable Official Game Rules. Before purchasing a ticket or participating, you should review the information provided for the relevant game, including: play price, draw schedules, sales closing times, prize structures, odds, and validation requirements.
If these Terms conflict with the Official Game Rules for a particular game, the applicable Official Game Rules will govern the participation and determination of prizes for that game to the extent of the conflict.
6. Ticket purchases and participations
A lottery purchase is completed only when it has been successfully accepted and recorded by the authorized system. Submitting a selection or payment request does not by itself guarantee that a ticket has been successfully issued. You are responsible for reviewing the information associated with your purchase and confirming that your selections are correct.
Once a lottery transaction has been accepted and a participation or ticket has been issued, it may not be cancelled or modified except where expressly permitted by the applicable Game Rules.
The Official Game Rules applicable to a game prevail over this section in respect of participation, cancellation and validation.
7. Deposits, withdrawals and account balance
Funds may be added to your gaming account using the payment methods made available on the platform. Deposits may be subject to minimum and maximum amounts, to daily, weekly or monthly limits and to other transaction limits.
• the payment method used must meet the requirements applicable to the platform and must belong to the account holder;
• deposits, withdrawals and funds held in an account may be subject to verification, including identity, source-of-funds and anti-fraud checks;
• withdrawals are processed only once the required verifications have been completed successfully;
• a gaming account is not a bank account, does not bear interest and may not be used as a payment, savings or money-transfer service;
• transaction limits and processing times may apply and may vary depending on the payment method used.
The payment methods currently available, together with information on deposits and withdrawals, are described on the Payment Methods page. Available methods may change from time to time.
8. Draws and game outcomes
Draws and other game outcomes are conducted or determined according to the Official Game Rules applicable to each game. The information displayed on the Lotora website is provided to help players conveniently review results. Where there is any discrepancy between information displayed on the website and the official records used to determine a result or prize entitlement, the official records shall prevail.
9. Checking a ticket
The Check a Ticket feature allows you to enter or scan ticket information to obtain an indication of whether a ticket may be associated with a prize. Ticket-checking information displayed online is provided for convenience and remains subject to official validation. Keep your ticket — paper or digital — until your prize has been paid.
10. Prizes
Prizes may be credited directly to the player's account or may require a separate claim and validation process, depending on the amount and type of prize. Certain prizes may have to be claimed in person. Applicable thresholds, claim periods, identification requirements and payment procedures are established by the relevant Game Rules and prize-claim procedures.
A prize is paid only after the winning ticket or eligible participation has been successfully validated in accordance with the applicable requirements.
11. Responsible play
Participation should be treated as entertainment and not as a source of income. Lotora provides responsible gambling measures designed to help players manage or stop their gaming activity. Available measures may include gaming limits, temporary gaming pauses and voluntary self-exclusion.
A temporary gaming pause may be selected for a period from 1 to 89 days. Voluntary self-exclusion may be selected for a period from 3 months to 5 years and is irrevocable for the selected period. When self-exclusion takes effect, access to the gaming account is blocked in accordance with the applicable self-exclusion conditions.
Further information is available on the Play Responsibly page and in the Responsible Gambling Policy.
12. Availability of the website
Lotora aims to provide reliable access to its website and services but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Services may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, system updates, technical failures, or circumstances beyond our control.
13. Errors and technical issues
Transactions affected by technical, system, processing or communication errors may be investigated. Where an error affects a ticket purchase, transaction, game result display or account activity, the matter will be handled in accordance with the Official Game Rules and system records.
14. Website information
Reasonable steps are taken to provide accurate and current information. However, game schedules, jackpots, prize information and other content may change.
15. Intellectual property
The Lotora platform, its content and the intellectual property made available through it are owned by, licensed to, or used with authorization by Société des loteries du Québec, as applicable. You may use the website only for your personal, non-commercial use.
16. Acceptable use
You must not use Lotora for unlawful or fraudulent purposes, and you must not attempt to manipulate or interfere with game outcomes. In particular, you must not:
• circumvent age, identity, residency or geolocation controls;
• use another person's identity or account;
• provide false or misleading information;
• interfere with security or fraud-prevention systems;
• use automated systems or software where prohibited;
• attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems or data.
17. Privacy

Please review the Privacy Policy for detailed information.
18. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Loto-Québec is not responsible for losses arising solely from circumstances outside its reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
19. Changes to games and services
Website features, games or services may be added, modified, suspended or discontinued where permitted by applicable law and the relevant Official Game Rules.
